Switch while it plays — both versions stay in sync. Shortcut: B.
Throw listens to your vocal and detects phrase endings: when a phrase longer than Min Phrase is followed by silence longer than Pause, the end of the phrase (Catch — the last word by default, with Word Snap always starting on a syllable) goes into the delay. Short gaps between words and quick ad-libs don't trigger, and Every lets you throw only every 2nd, 4th or 8th phrase. It works like an engineer riding the send up on the last word — except you never draw a single automation curve. Bars mode throws the end of every N bars (works on loops without gaps too), and Manual puts you in control: the big THROW key catches the word you just heard, and a MIDI note opens the send for exactly the length of the note (velocity = throw level).
Echoes stay in time: 1/8T, 1/8, 1/8D, 1/4T, 1/4, 1/4D, 1/2 and a full bar. Lookahead (400 ms of latency your DAW compensates automatically) makes the first echo of the last word always start exactly one division after the word; switch it off to work with zero latency. The feedback loop holds Low Cut and High Cut (every repeat a little darker), saturation, modulation and diffusion that melts the echoes into reverb. Feedback, Ping-Pong, Width, Tail (how long the tail plays before it fades smoothly — the next throw starts clean) and Duck, which pulls the echoes down when the vocal comes back. The dry signal passes untouched, bit for bit.
The display shows the trigger history: the vocal, the silence threshold, every phrase with its decision (thrown, too short, skipped), the Catch window, the moment of the throw, the real echoes and the predicted next repeats past the “now” line, together with the end of the tail. Next to it: the echo pattern with the loop filter curve, status LEDs and counters. For rap and melodic vocals, mix engineers and producers who want professional throws in seconds.
