Switch while it plays — both versions stay in sync. Shortcut: B.
Swell creates the trendy reverse-reverb effect without rendering and reversing tracks. The reverb is recorded and played backwards in windows synced to your song's tempo (from 1/8 to 2 bars), so the tail rises instead of fading. Two crossfading windows give a continuous sound with no clicks.
Swell adds a volume rise on every new hit — like a guitar volume knob or a pad fading in from silence. Decay and Tone shape the tail, and Dry sets how much of the original stays.
Great on plucks, piano, vocals ("ghost vocal") and transitions before a drop.
