Rosin

Drill Staccato — Deal

170 BPM · G#m

Rosin is a string orchestra in one plug-in, built for beats: dramatic drill strings, staccato and pizzicato ostinatos for trap, singing violin and cello lines for hooks and wide section pads for intros and cinematic transitions. Play it from your MIDI keyboard and ride the dynamics with the mod wheel (CC1) — from a barely-there piano to a forte that bites. The sound doesn't come from samples. Every player is a model of a bowed string: bow-on-string friction, bow pressure and speed, bow position (from sul tasto to ponticello) and the wooden body of the instrument. That's why the bow attack is real, soft notes are dark and gentle, loud ones bright and gritty, and the vibrato starts after a short delay like a real player and grows with expression. In Section mode several players play every note — each slightly differently tuned, with their own vibrato and entry — so the section breathes instead of sounding like one synth. Switch between five articulations with buttons or with keyswitches C0–E0 while you play: Legato (smooth finger slides with portamento), Sustain, Staccato / spiccato, Pizzicato and Tremolo. Full Ensemble splits notes between violins, violas, cellos and basses by register and seats each section in its own stereo position, and the concert hall with early reflections adds depth. Over 30 presets: Drill Staccato, Dark Cello Line, Trap Pizz Ostinato, Menace Tremolo, Rising Swell and more.
