Halo is a chorus built for vocals in rap and trap: leads, hooks, ad-libs and backing vocals. Instead of one wobbling copy you get an ensemble of up to eight voices (four per side), each with its own slow motion and a gentle random drift — it sounds like several sung layers, not like a cheap 90s effect. The original vocal passes through untouched and with no delay, so it stays in the centre, up front and intelligible, while the chorus spreads out to the sides.
Three knobs do everything. Amount sets the chorus level, modulation depth and number of voices in one move — from a subtle double on a verse to a wide ensemble on ad-libs. Width decides how wide the chorus sits in stereo, and Tone changes its colour: left = darker and more vintage, right = brighter and more modern. The Lead / Ad-lib switch matches the delays and motion to the role of the track.
The rest is taken care of: the chorus path has its own high-pass (the low end stays clean), a gentle low-pass and a de-esser, so the “s” sounds in the chorus never hiss. Level is matched — turn Amount and Width and the vocal doesn't get louder, so you hear the sound, not the volume. The mono sum stays full, with no holes and no underwater comb filtering, and the display shows it: a halo of voices around the vocal, mono loss and L/R correlation. Zero latency, smooth click-free automation, and Amount 0 passes audio bit for bit.
