Crusher 808 — 808 pattern (Deal)
170 BPM · G#m
808 Crusher does one thing and does it right: an 808 that carries the whole beat. The body is a clean sine with a pitch envelope — Punch sets how hard the sound hits at the start, and Punch Time how fast it drops to the right note. Click adds a short transient, so the 808 cuts through even on phone speakers.
Legato mode gives you the slides known from trap and drill: overlapping notes glide smoothly (Glide) without retriggering. Mono hits every note again, but with a continuous phase — fast notes never click.
The distortion has five characters: Tube, Tape, Hard Clip, Fold and Fuzz. It runs at 8× oversampling, so the top end stays clean even with heavy crunch. Sub Weight adds a clean sine under the distortion so the low end never disappears, and Tone tames the fizz. A built-in safety stage makes sure the peak never goes over 0 dBFS.
The display shows the shape of the hit together with its pitch envelope, the amplitude decay and the drive curve with the live level.
